BellamyBellamy Young was born Amy Maria Young in the month of February, 1970."1" She's an American singer, actress also known as producer, actor, and singer best known for her portrayal on the show Melody "Mellie," Grant in ABC's Scandal, 2012-2018. In 2014, the Critics' Choice TV awarded her the top Supporting Actress Award in Drama Series. Additionally, she was an actor in Fox's Prodigal Son (1919-2021). Young began her professional career as an actor at the theatre. In 1997, she made her Broadway debut in the role of Mary in the actors of The Life. [8][9] Her Off-Broadway appearances include in Stephen Sondheim's Merrily We Rock Along (1994) and Randy Newman's Faust (1995-1996). 3][10] In 1995 she made her television debut as a regular in the NBC daytime soap show Another World as Dr. Courtney Evans. Between 1997 and 1998,, she was a guest on two episodes in the show Law & Order. The actress made her film debut in 1999 , playing a small performance in Black and White, a crime drama. Then she appeared in various independent movies. Young began appearing on variety of TV dramas and comedy series in the early 2000s. They include The Drew Carey Show and The X Files. Young appeared on more than thirty television shows between the years 2000 to 2011.
